Liberland is coming to Sarajevo


The citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to get citizenship of Liberland, new country on Balkans. This will be posible during the OPEN Festival to be held from 27 to 29 October this year in Dom Mladih Sarajevo. Founder and President of Liberland, Mr. Vit Jedlička will come to Sarajevo to deliver a speech about the importance of ideas behind Liberland and free state projects.

Liberland is self-proclaimed micronation which extends between the Croatia and Serbia on the west bank of the Danube, near Zmajevac (Croatia) and Bačko Monoštro (Serbia). On some maps and charts this area is called Gornja Siga. Establishment of micronation was declared on 13 April 2015. by Czech politician and activist Vit Jedlička. He putted flag on territory that extends for approximately 7 square kilometers.





Sarajevo is the leading political, social and cultural center of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, a prominent center of culture in the Balkans.

Due to its long and rich history of religious and cultural variety, Sarajevo is sometimes called the "Jerusalem of Europe" or "Jerusalem of the Balkans". It was, until late in the 20th century, the only major European city to have a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue within the same neighborhood.
