OPEN Festival is a regional festival dedicated to the promotion of ideas of liberty and human rights. Festival promotes the economic and political freedoms, together with the fundamental rights of the individual.
OPEN Festival aims to create a platform for improving general freedoms in Western Balkans. The festival will bring together decision-makers from the region, representatives of the academic community and non-governmental organizations, as well as thousands of young people, mainly students. In October, when the festival takes place, Sarajevo will be branded as a "city of freedom". We expect the participation of about 10,000 young people, with 50 non-governmental organizations, 40 speakers and three conferences at the festival. OPEN festival should become a distinctive regional event that will be traditionally held in Sarajevo. The central theme of this year's festival is the reform agenda in Bosnia and Herzegovina and reform process in the region.
At OPEN Fest we will have 30 speakers from around the world. This is a unique opportunity for local and regional participants to obtain the necessary level of knowledge about the ideas of liberty.
OPEN Fest will host more than 100 representatives of non-governmental organizations that promote the ideas of liberty. In addition, the festival will be attended by local and foreign politicians, all of which represent an excellent opportunity for developing new friendships.
The festival has a rich entertainment content with DJ entertainment, mega concert of Edo Maajka, accompanied by Frankie and DJ Soul. Festival will present the art exhibition "Think Freedom" and film projection of “Nije završeno”.
OPEN Festival brings change, primarily in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans. It is time to finally start with the open promotion of the ideas of liberty for the region. Historically, all other ideas were devastating and harmful to the countries of the region.

It was, until late in the 20th century, the only major European city to have a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue within the same neighborhood.
